A look back at the February Collection!

Holy Cow! Has it really been since the middle of February that I posted?!!! So sorry! I guess I've been posting on Facebook and haven't shared here. Let's catch up a little.

Happy Easter

This pretty egg was on sale during February's monthly specials and it was a big hit. It has both a solid and a pattern egg stamp. The pattern makes a fabulous background as well as a beautiful way to dress up your twill ribbon. The berry and shell inks and papers play well together with vanilla, don't you think?

The solid egg leaves a beautiful imprint on darker cardstock and fits perfectly in the matching die as shown on the inside of the card.

Easter Basket and Bunnies

Here's a card I did with my classes in March. It's an Easter card full of bunnies and eggs and a basket too! These are all new dies from the Spring Accessories Guide that's active until the end of May. As you may realize, it's all the same parts as the card I posted yesterday except that I added some 3D crepe paper eggs to the card and also added a second layer of grass to the card. The great part is that when class is over, I usually have some extra materials to use to play around with designs. Don't you love the cobalt cardstock base on this card?! I adore that shade of blue and the gingham cardstock and everything's rosy paper pack coordinate beautifully with it.And, check out the bunny bums...wait - that sounded bad, didn't it?! lol! We carry both large and small puff bums. :)

3D Crepe Paper Eggs

Here's a fun and silly Easter card full of crepe paper eggs and bunnies! Each egg is comprised of 5 layers of crepe paper. It's so easy to cut multiple layers of crepe paper with the egg die. Such a great way to add a fun element to the card by making it 3D, don't you think?

The card is finished off with some gingham, basket and some bunnies from the Spring Accessories Guide. Oh and the Everything's Rosy paper pack too!

I have another idea for the 3D "eggs" so will hopefully get that made soon. :)

Beyond the Egg - Easter Banner Card

How about an Egg Banner? Ok - this one isn't very far out of the box but it is a different way than I've normally used the egg die. And, when you pair the even taller alphabet die with those eggs, it's a super cute way to brighten up someone's Easter day.

Do you have suggestions for ways to use this die? I still have a few ideas gelling but would love to get your ideas!

Pillow Box Die - Easter Treat

It's April and I haven't posted in a week and a half! Where have I been? Well, it's a super busy time and if I went into details, we'd all be tired! lol! So, for now, I'll just say that I have pictures and projects to share but need more time to get everything done. I will hopefully be catching up in April and will try to post lots. :)

Our new pillow box die is so fun! You cut two, stick the two together, press down on the curved seams and that's it - cute treat box! Simple and fun! I used the gingham paper pack for the box. Isn't that wonderful?!

I took a little blush baker's twine to finish it off and tie it closed. Oops - should have folded both of my pillow box flaps the same way. Ah well, it's how I roll.

I thought it would be fun to use the cute little chick from the Color Me Happy stamp set on this project. A quickie glue pen and some papaya flocking made for a fun fuzzy chick, don't you think?

The paper flower is a forget-me-not flower that is white. I sprayed a little golddust splash on a clear acrylic block, spritzed a little blush and grapefruit splash onto the block and then mixed all the colors and shimmer together. Dipped the flower in and let it soak up the color. When it dried, it had this lovely variance of color with a shimmer of gold mixed in. The picture doesn't do it justice, but trust me, it has a pretty shimmer to it. The flower is finished off with a silver sequin. Easy peasy. :)

Wouldn't these be fun at each person's place setting on Easter morning? What's inside?  Target had individual packs of bunny shaped gummies in the Easter section and they fit inside perfectly!

Easter Basket Card using Rosette Die

We made a version of this card at NatCon and I just loved it! So, I played around with the cardstock that I had on hand as well as the dies that I had and this was my variation. The Easter basket is made from the rosette die. Isn't that clever? I just loved learning that trick at NatCon! You could do so many variations with a picket fence made out of the pointed rosette die and other baskets and fences and fancy borders and more. I have to take another look at my rosette die and start playing!

So, what went into this card? Here are the details:

Bunny Banner

How has it been over a week since I posted? OOPS - I'm so sorry! I had a conference for work and have been working tons of extra hours. Then had some fun family things and now I'm ready to get back to stamping my art out. :) I had my class tonight so some posts will be coming your way soon.

I'll start with a Bunny Banner that was my hostess gift in February. It's sooooooo easy!!! You use the largest Bunny Die shape and cut five petite polka dot bunnies. Then, glitter up 10 mini clothespins. Do 6 in bubblegum glitter and 4 in champagne glitter. Next, take a long piece of vanilla twine, tie loops at both ends and pin your bunnies to the twine. It's just that easy!!! And, isn't it cute? I just love it!!! A great Easter banner or spring banner to hang on your desk at work or on your mantle or across the easter buffet line.

Peeps, Glassine Bags and Washi Tape

What happens when you combine peeps, washi tape and glassine bags? CUTENESS!!! Yep. You heard it here! CUTENESS!!! This is a super simple, not kidding around, easy project that will make the recipient smile from ear to ear.

How do you do it? Easy. Take the spring washi tape pack and place three strips across the medium glassine bag. Die cut the middle sized bunny (a.k.a. peep!) from the bunny die set and pop it up over the washi tape. I used the Bermuda petite polka dot cardstock for my "peep". That's it. Bag done. And, a candy peep fits inside perfectly. Here's the side view.
