I was in an Americana mood while designing my June class. Here's one of the cards we made. The star die cut trio was used to cut the three stars out of the sugar layer. Then, the stars were splashed with navy and cherry splash and lightly misted with marshmallow splash (shoot above the image and let the splash float down to give it a touch of white). I used a piece of cheap cardstock to make the two color stars. Hold the cardstock at an angle over the star and spray and then pick up the other color and do the same on the other side -instant two color look. And, if you get a bleed like I did - no problem - just adds to the cool texture. The thanks die cut was splashed the same way. And, if they're too saturated from splash, use a heat gun to dry them out and you'll be ready to glue them down.
Here's a side view. As you can see, the stars are on the card base and the front layer is popped up. It's a cool look!
Here's the inside - full of stars and a thankful message.
Do you see the light dots on the front of the card? That's stardust shimmer spray. Mine came out a little splotchy but my class peeps really liked that look and worked to replicate it on their own cards. And, did you notice the "thanks" is a little thicker than cardstock? It's cut from the a|s coaster board. It's so cool!
