Birthday in Blue

Happy Birthday to you...in blue! It's the same cupcake from Hey, Cupcake, but this time in cobalt! I love the mermaid chevron mixed with the cobalt, don't you? I used the small star die from the star trio die set and plopped it over the top of a 1" onyx petite polka dot circle. I think it's a fun twist.

Once again I colored with copics to make the blue frosting, cupcake wrapper and a chocolate cupcake. A crop-a-dile was used to put two small holes on either end of the triangle layering piece. French roast twine was wrapped through the holes and taped to the back. A fun and easy embellishment.

Here's the inside. Cobalt on mermaid on this side and the rectangle is layered on a 1 1/2" circle.

Check back as more cupcakes will be coming. I colored a bunch in different colors but they're all chocolate. :)
