4th of July B-day Card

Let Freedom Ring! Happy Birthday to the country and all of those 4th of July peeps out there! I'll be celebrating the 4th with a college friend and who knows where we'll end up! It's going to be a grand adventure.
This card is perfect for a masculine birthday, don't you agree? A kraft cardstock base with Cherry, Navy and Sugar layers. The extraordinary background was stamped first and a sponge dauber was used to edge it with navy. Then the cherry stars (stamped first on scratch paper and then on the background) were added and finally the stars and bars which were carefully inked with the two colors and then stamped. Both of those elements are from Let Freedom Ring.  The kraft sentiment layer was edged in cherry and stamped in navy. The sentiment is from Hey Cupcake. Finally the cherry petite polka dot star was popped up and added. I love how this came out!
 Here's the inside!
Finally, here's a side view of the popped up star on the front of the card. What do you think?

And, here's a 4th of July luminary using the same "let freedom ring" stamp set. Put a battery-operated tea light inside and watch it glow. So cool!
Have a wonderful 4th of July to all my USA friends! and, for my other world friends, enjoy the day!
