Copic Vellum Butterflies - Outlaws Greeting Card Challenge

I don't know about you but every once in a while, I make a card that just makes me satisfied and content because what I pictured in my mind worked out even better in person. Does that happen to you? This is one of those cards!

I adore the copic vellum butterflies flitting over the open holes. I don't know why, I just do. :) I stamped the butterflies on vellum with memento ink. I'd read a lot about coloring on the back but I really liked them better colored on the front as shown here so I did it. And, once you color them with copics, you can pretty much use any adhesive because it won't show through. Now, I should clarify that statement as vellums vary quite a bit but the vellum paper from A Muse Studio rocks for this type of project!!

The sentiment is from Make a Difference and the butterflies are from Papillon! Stamp, cut around them and glue them over the holes. Oh - the circles... these are actually the punched openings in papaya and kraft layered onto the navy card base. Isn't that cool. I wanted something to draw you in rather than layering the punched circles on top of the kraft.

Here's the inside! What do you think? I used one of the papaya circles and just popped on another butterfly. Hope this card makes you as happy as it makes me! And, since these are summery and flying bugs, they fit the Outlawz Greeting Card Challenge "Fight the Filthy Fly Month"  for this week. yea!!!
