Make a Wish

Hello!!! I'm still here!!! Sorry - I'm still doing tons of overtime so it's hard to find time to take pics and get them posted. It's crazy because I have the cards made - just need time to share them. :) Here are two cupcake cards with just a minor variation on where the banner is placed.

I love paper piecing and I feel like the cupcake from Hey Cupcake just begs for paper piecing. I did the wrapper before and this time I pieced the cupcake too. Why not have as many polka dots as possible?!! Don't you agree?

Here's the inside. I love the cupcake companion wavy happy birthday. It fits great in a banner die but it also looks great just like this.

What did I use? Bermuda, bubblegum, onyx, bermuda petite polka dots, bubblegum petite polka dots, papaya and sugar cardstocks. The onyx was run though the Grand Caliber with the medium dots texture plate and then sanded to bring out the polka dots. Isn't that groovy? A little Bermuda chevron ribbon finishes it off. You may notice that the bermuda chevron ribbon is a different shade than the cardstock. It's fine - just know that it's not matchy, matchy. The stamps were Birthday Greetings, Cupcake Companion and Hey, Cupcake and the inks were bermuda, grape and memento tuxedo black. The die was Cupcake Toppers and the last bit of sparkle was with a heart from the twinkle stickers. Oh - the candle and flame were colored with Copic markers. All of the products were A Muse Studio.

Thanks for not giving up on me and I hope to post more frequently in April. :) Have a wonderfully creative day!
