With Sympathy - Vellum

Vellum is a lovely item to use to create sympathy cards. This card mixes the beautiful shimmer paper with the paper weight vellum to create a beautiful card to share with those grieving. It's hard to find an adhesive that works well with vellum so the vellum is connected to the base with the onyx polka dot ribbon. It's a beautiful accent and it's a way to use ribbon without making a knot so that it's easy to mail.

I should point out that this vellum is straight but I didn't realize it shifted before I took the photo. oops. :)

Here's a close-up of the ribbon detail. You punch two holes and put the ribbon through the holes, cross it in the back and bring the tails up in the opposite hole. Hope that makes sense. :)

The script background was stamped with heather ink and then the butterflies from the papillon stamp set are stamped with blackberry ink. Isn't that pretty? The cardstock underneath is stamped with the Making a Difference stamp set. It's stamped once after inked and then re-stamped without re-inking to create variations in print. Here's a close-up of the piece under the vellum:
Simple and easy but striking under the vellum. :)
Here's the inside. A couple of butterflies and a simple thinking of you. What do you think?
