Baby Boy Banner

A friend of mine is a new grandma. She gave 9 banner pieces to her stamping friends (including me!) and asked us to decorate them for her grandbaby's room. Another one of our friends had done this last year when she was a new grandma and it was so much fun to see how everyone approached the project and what colors and papers they used. I can't wait to see the finished project for this year's baby. :)

I finally got my part of the project done. I used a mixture of papers and supplies from A Muse, Hobby Lobby, Jo-Anns and Archivers. It was fun to play with the dinosaur punch (that I kind of forgot that I owned! - does anyone else do that? lol!). And, I had to add buttons because they just scream "baby" to me! I don't know why but they do.

I finished off the project with the retiring A Muse Studio cloud dies. Aren't they just the cutest clouds? A little sky pearl finishes the project off! What do you think?
Have a wonderfully creative day!

Banner

Banners are so fun to make and the clear small banner that we carry (TAC product) is only $6.95. You might remember this post from last month where I showed a mini album that I made for my niece and the other seniors on her volleyball team. I decided to make her a matching banner for her for Christmas.

Here's a pic that I took very quickly before hitting the road. It doesn't show the banner to its best advantage but a storm was coming and I had two hours of driving before I could get to my mom's so quick was more important than "great". I used more Circle HS paper that my sis-in-law and I picked up at scrapbook stores and the tattered florals sissix die that I got for Christmas from a great friend!
Here's my gorgeous niece and I trying to take our own pic. She liked the banner, as you can see. :)

I'm about to sit down and make another banner. This one will be in pinks and purples  (TAC Maggie paper!) for a very sweet little girl. :)

Have a wonderful day and stay warm - it's a balmy 11 degrees Fahrenheit here but with the wind chill it's -5. I'm ready for winter to be done!!

Oh - before I forget - check out The TAC Savvy Projects Blog all through February. There's a fabulous promotion going on and contests and a bunch of guest designers. Fun stuff!!!

Happy Creating!

Mini Mummy

How about a fun little treat for Halloween! Here's a mini mummy which was inspired by Julie (aka Paper Jewels) who has this wonderful tutorial on youtube. Not only is Julie a super creative person but she's super nice too! Definitely visit her blog for inspiration! So, back to the mummy - It's super quick and easy. I used the same tag as Julie but put it on shrink plastic to make it fit better on the little candy bar. The Bone Appetit stamp set is super cute and perfect for your spooky treats. You can get it for just $15.95 with a $30 order. I love shrink plastic and it's the perfect accessory on the scrapper's floss belt for my mini mummy! And, it's always good to have a reason to use googly eyes because they're just super fun!!!

Treat parts: fun-sized chocolate bar, crepe paper, palette cognac ink, sponge, lime green and orange scrappers floss, TAC Bone Appetit stamp set, googly eyes

Have fun making some spooky treats!! Happy Stamping!
