Pocket Scrapbooking: A Baby Girl Album

Pocket Scrapbooking? Snap Cards? What are you talking about??? Great questions that have been asked of me and I'll try to clear up the mystery!

Snap cards are a great way to add journaling and embellishments to your traditional and pocket scrapbooking pages. This post features a pocket scrapbooking baby girl album using the 4X6, 3X4 baby girl snap cards as well as the coordinating sticker pack. It was so fun and makes scrapbooking go a lot faster as you just have to slide things in the pockets.
These are the 3X4 cards. The photo shows each of the cards included in the pack and the shadow of each is what the back of the card looks like. The beauty is that these are ready to go and can just be slid into the photo album pockets, add some photos and your scrapbook is done. If you want more dimension, you can add stamping and glitter and buttons and twine and other embellishments and can keep adding until it fits your style.

Here are a few pages from a recent baby shower gift.
I started with the 6X8 leather album because it is for a baby girl, after all. :) The quality of the album is excellent and it's a great size for scrapbooking your treasured memories, especially for specific events. This album covers the first year for the baby. :)
There are 6X8 pages so I created a cover page with some stamping and added a 4X6 snap card, buttons and baker's cording. When the baby arrives, all they'll have to do is add photos to finish off the book.
Since the a muse studio cardstock is one-sided (perfect for cardmaking and scrapbooking!), I had the opportunity to add some stamping to the back to make a unique and special background paper for photos.
There are a variety of page styles from 2 - 3X4 and 1 - 4X6 pocket or 4 - 3X4 pockets or 2 - 4X6 pockets or 2X2 pockets and more. These are all from Simple Stories and we're thrilled to be carrying their products!
There are snap cards for each month in the first year where you can write the weight, height, highlights, etc. I love that they make it so easy to document the special moments. :)
Glitter, buttons, stickers, snap cards and cardstock. Easy touches to add so much to the finished album.
And, the cards themselves are so cute and have so many wonderful patterns and sentiments.
Die-cuts and stickers added and yet plenty of room left for baby pics!
And, for those pages that don't have specific snap cards, I cut up some of the Everything's Rosy paper pack and filled in the pockets. They can remove those when they add photos or can use them as background paper for the photos.

The beauty is that each of these albums can be personalized to your style and the pockets can be all photos without any snap cards and papers. Or, they can be all cardstock and paper or they can be a great mixture of both. You can get pages that you just slide in the cards and add photos. Or, you can get pages that are made for your Instagram photos. You can fill the pockets with custom mini pages that you create with your stamps and stickers and embellishments.

I hope you pick up some of our albums, snap cards and stickers and start playing! We've got cards for every day, travel, wedding, birthday and more! Fun stuff!!

And, if you're a 12X12 scrapbooker, our pages fit on the rings in your album. So, you can add smaller pages mixed into your album to add extra photos or to create visual interest!

Welcome Little One - Snap Card turned Baby Card!

A baby girl card that is quick and easy to make. It starts with a snap card. What is a snap card you say? It's a scrapbooking item that's perfect for pocket scrapbooking and traditional scrapbooking. This one is the 3" X 4" card and it comes in a 48 card pack. That's right - 48!! And, it's double-sided! And, they're $3.99. Here's the baby girl 3"X4" set:
So, I mentioned that these were great for scrapbooking but they're also great for cardmaking. I took one of the snap cards, layered it on wasabi polka dot and bubblegum cardstock and popped it  up on a layer of everything's rosy paper and a bubblegum cardstock base. After tying some blush baker's cording around the cardfront, some diamond glitter was added to the snap card. Easy Peasy! And, matched the baby album perfectly that was filled with 3X4, 4X6 snap cards and matching stickers!

I've got some birthday and wedding snap cards that I'll be playing with sometime for cardmaking. Should be fun!

Have a happy day!!

Chevron Giraffe baby card

Oops - I got busy with conference planning and worked all kinds of hours and guess what got left behind...yep. You're right. My blog! So sorry!! I'll try to make up for it this week. :) So, let's start with a sweet baby card. Can't go wrong with a chevron giraffe, right?
Bermuda, lemon whip and kraft and the little peanuts stamp set. A pretty combo, don't you think? And, some sweet little pearls to finish it off. (do I need to trim the top or is it a weird camera angle? hm - I'd better check!)
Here's the inside. simple and sweet continuing the color scheme from the front.

This card and other baby cards will soon be at Audity Ally in Wamego, KS. If you're in the area, check it out. Super cute bags, baby presents, candles and more! Oh and a few hand-made cards and gifts as well. ;)

Have a wonderfully creative day!

AHHNOUNCING! in Grapefruit!

Oh yes - grapefruit and the new grapefruit polka dot! Isn't it pretty and with a little bit of onyx mixed in too, it just makes the image pop! This card was "ahhnouncing" an 80th birthday party but it could have been used for a shower or a new baby or a new address or whatever. :)

I love this little announcer guy from the ahhnouncing stamp set. Isn't he cute? And, there are several sentiments that can be stamped by his megaphone! This is a simple - stamp, stamp and done type project. With the rounded corners, the top two layers make a quick element to finish off a quick card. And, since it's flat, it went through the mail easily. :)

This card is also an entry in the SCS CAS206 Monochromatic Cards With One Neutral challenge.  Hopefully it doesn't have too many layers for clean and simple but it does fit the theme. :)

I hope you've enjoyed this quick and simple card! All of the products used are available on my webstore: www.amusestudio.com/seleise

And, here's the inside! Both the outside and the inside use the vintage labels 2 die. It's got 4 great shapes in three different sizes. So handy!
The a muse studio ahhnouncing stamp set is soooo fun. It's so retro and I love it!

Playing with Pink - more baby cards!

I've had some orders for baby cards so that's why you're seeing so many these days. Oh - and I'm going to be an aunt again in January so baby cards are good. :)

Here's one that uses washi tape for the background element - love those three tapes together!
How about some layered circles with a pink and black theme? This is using retired paper which I've been hoarding but finally decided to use. :) love scallops with baby cards!
And finally, here's a paper-pieced Little Peanuts card. I love this set! I think this is my first time to paper piece a pattern on a pattern. I think it's pretty-darned cute, what do you think? I like the kraft on the corner to break up the pink but do you think it's a little too much contrast? I'd love your feedback.

Baby Girl - Zoo Animal Outlawz Challenge

It's time for another Greeting Card Challenge from The Outlawz! This one is to use a zoo animal, animal print paper or ribbon. I pulled out the wonderful A Muse Studio baby set Little Peanuts and went to town as I had a baby girl card to make.

I paper-pieced the giraffe with the sweetheart/heartbreaker cardstock pack and layered it on a bubblegum scalloped oval. I love the petite polka dot bubblegum card base mixed with the heartbreaker paper, don't you? And, check out the banner die cut! Love that die!!!
And, you know me, have to have something on the inside! I used one of the wonderful sentiments from Little Peanuts and then put the congratulations underneath in bubblegum ink. I might do something similar for my June class. We'll see! Of course I said that last month too and then changed the cards at the last minute! :)
All supplies are A Muse Studio: www.amusestudio.com/seleise

Okay! I'd better get back to crafting as I have been dying things for the upcoming craft fair season and now need to start assembling!

Oh - and exciting news coming in another post although if you're a friend of mine on Facebook, you already know!!! :)

Have a fabulously creative day and thanks for stopping by my blog!
