Modern Zinnia - Thank You!

I thought the next card posted would be the one from my last post. By the way, speaking of my last post, I didn't realize that the instagram photos wouldn't come through the blog feed reader so I'll go back to inserting actual images rather than embedding the instagram photo. My apologies for that!

So, on to the thank you card. This card is quick and simple but looks like it takes more work than it actually does. Those are my favorite kind!

The top layer is sugar. It's stamped in grapefruit ink with the large solid zinnia stamp from the Modern Zinnia stamp set. Stamp once with the stamp inked up and then without putting it in the ink pad again, stamp a second time (stamp off). This gives a darker and lighter look. Repeat until the card is full. Then, pick one spot to stamp the small zinnia in cherry ink. Thank you from hand-scripted was stamped in versafine ink over the top.

The sugar layer was layered onto mushroom cardstock then cherry baker's cording was wrapped twice around both layers and tied into a knot. A small length of cherry and small length of blush cording were also tied around on strand of cording. That layered piece was popped up on cherry pinstripe cardstock. Don't you love it?
Here's the inside. Stamp off the large zinnia and stamp on the small cherry zinnia. Then, add the sentiment in versafine.

Simple and pretty!

You could make this card in so many colors and for so many occasions. It would make a great card set for a gift too!

If you'd like to make your own, the supplies are available in my webstore, 24 hours a day.

Happy Stamping!

I have this set - get it out from time to time and then draw a blank, love this one you have shared. Time to get it out again.
