Silent Night - Diamond Embossing: Card and Tag

Happy New Year's Eve! I'm finally getting the final card/tag project posted for 2013. I may still share some Christmas card ideas as Christmas remains in my heart year round but will also be bringing some sweet Valentine's ideas to you soon. :)

This is another variation on the Silent Night stamp set. I just can't get enough of that stamp set!  I used the December cardstock pack to create this vintage-y card and tag. It has a pistachio base with a mermaid layer stamped on with the Snow Day background using latte ink. The scalloped oval die cut is latte cardstock with a layered cherry oval on top. The top layer is sugar and the tag is latte with french roast twine.

The silent night image was stamped in mermaid ink on the sugar oval layer and then versamark ink was smooshed all over the top. You want to make sure that you cover the whole oval with the versamark ink and then you sprinkle diamond embossing powder over it and hit it with the heat gun. As the diamond embossing powder melts, the image gets this wonderful shimmery sheen that looks like glitter. It's great for snow globes or for accent pieces on cards. It adds to the vintage look and feel, don't you think? Here's a close-up. Latte pearl stickers are an accent on either side of the center piece.
I forgot to take a photo of the inside but it had the snow day background in latte and the sentiment in mermaid ink.

This stamp set is part of the holiday catalog which expires at midnight on 12/31/2013 so if you want any of these items, order online before midnight: www.amusestudio.com/seleise

I'll be back with a post in a day or two with news on a sweet sale for Valentine's Day. Be sure to check back. :)

Have a most wonderfully creative day and a most fabulous year ahead! May your days be filled with laughter and love!
