Graduation Gatefold

Graduation time is quickly approaching so it's time to break out the cool graduation stamps and get your cards ready. As I may have said before and probably will again (lol)... I LOVE the A Muse Studio stamp set "conGRADulations" because I think the sentiment is about the most perfect sentiment ever - a quote by Minor Myers, Jr. - "Go forth and do well but even more, go forth and do good".
This is a typical gatefold card on kraft cardstock. It has a layer of cherry cardstock below cherry vintage cardstock on the front panels and a couple of labels 3 nesties cardstock shapes - vanilla layered on  black.
Inside the graduation caps were stamped on vanilla cardstock, cut out and glued onto the card base. The sentiment is tongue in cheek with "conGRADulations!" Isn't that fun?
As you can see when the card is opened, the center label is only attached to one side of the card. The card is held closed with a little diploma catch. The diploma is stamped on vanilla cardstock and popped up on the corner so that it "catches" the edge of the center label.

All products used are A Muse Studio. www.amusestudio.com/seleise (consultant #1379).

Thanks for popping by my blog and have a wonderfully creative day!!

What a nice card, Seleise! Love the vintage paper panels. The red is beautiful! The inside sentiment tickles me...when I was 16, I ran for "Miss Dolton" where I used to live near Chicago. I lost because of our float competition. We spelled Congratulations with a D. Oops! Anyway, when I see this set, I have to giggle! Hugs...

Love this card and it works beautifully in a gatefold style - the sentiment is perfect for a new grad.
