Since I'm still not getting enough of the distress inks - I continued on with the theme for the hop. I adore this Art Impressions stamp. I used their color choice inspiration for the copic coloring and then went to town with distress inks. The background is three colors mixed together. Add the lightest color first and work your way up to the darker. I like to take the darkest ink color and run it around the edge for more definition. I used the same distress inks on the heart doily and had yellow flowers so didn't need to add it there. After coloring the image with copics, I went over the background areas with the lightest ink color.
You can see it a bit better in this close-up.
Here are the distress ink colors.
And, here are the copic colors. Wish I'd taken pics like this with all my projects to help me remember which colors I used. :)
Aren't buttons and flowers the best!!!
So, why a tag? Well - I can either use it to decorate a journal cover or I'll get a pretty ribbon and tie it around a basket handle and add coffee, individual creamers, a fun mug and a dishtowel. Wouldn't that make a great hostess gift?!
And, if you missed my previous post and if you hadn't already figured this out - don't forget that the round sponges fit perfectly in the mini distress ink bases so you can easily keep all your ink colors separated. So fun!
Thanks for hopping by and hope to see you again as I have several more projects to share! And, be sure to check out and participate in the hop. I'm always so inspired by all the creativity!!
Have a wonderfully creative day!
