My first post is a bit on the wintery side as Spring in Kansas is every temperature imaginable. This week was hot, cold and pleasant and that was just in the first 4 days. We'll see what next week brings. :)
I'm kicking off the blog hop week with Unity. I ADORE this coffee (or any hot beverage) drinking girl. I used her to make some calendars for a swap I was in. Every Tuesday, a group of local stampers get together for potluck and stamping. We always eat. We sometimes stamp. lol. But, we listen to each other and laugh and cry and share and it's just wonderful to have a group of wonderful people who share a love of crafting. We had our Christmas party this week (it's hard to work it in during the holidays...) and we swapped cards and made fantastic food. I made calendar cards for these fabulous girls. We swapped gifts and recipe cards too. So fun!
So, when I swap, I like to assembly line the process to make it a bit easier. Here's the process on the hair.
I put the lightest color first, add the medium shade, add the darkest highlights, then blend it together with the lightest color again. (lather, rinse, repeat...lol). I love watching the hair take shape as the highlights and lowlights are added in.
I assembly line the rest too. I cut all the pinked circles, stamped all the sentiments, cut and assembled the bases and cut the rectangles for the calendar base.
And, when you're finished assembling, you have a pile of wonderful calendars for your wonderful friends.
So, that's my first project of the hop and hope you enjoyed it. Leave a comment and I'll draw the name of one lucky commenter to win a calendar of their own at the end of the hop.
Unity stamps: Dream of Being and Autumn
