Happy Easter and...two bonus cards!

Happy Easter!!! Here's a card design that you can get made quickly to get some Easter cards out in the mail. I don't send many or any sometimes but there are a few people that appreciate a card this time of year. (especially those that are still waiting on their Christmas card from me...lol!)

I've made this card with several different paper and ink combos. This is the one I used for my class in March. It features Make a Scene and Egg-stravaganza. Those sets work really well together even if the eggs are a little big in comparison to the grass and clouds. But, that just adds to the whimsy which is a good thing! I have the egg die (which is AWESOME because it has a guide that comes with it!!!) but I decided to stamp the eggs straight on the background. The front panel is all stamping - creating the scene. A little quickie glue pen and some diamond dust glitter finishes off the look. Oh - and some vanilla twine is the medium for the bow on the papaya egg. The inks are Papaya, Grapefruit and Ocean for the eggs, sky for the clouds and grass for the grass and sentiment. The cardstock base is grape and the accent piece is papaya. All products are A Muse Studio: www.amusestudio.com/seleise
The design is carried over into the inside of the card. I love doing that - adds just a little something special to the card. Do you stamp on the inside of your cards too?

I'm submitting this card to Cute Card Thursday - Challenge 210 - Happy Easter. You should play along too! :)

And, here are two bonus cards that I made for a card order. The bunny, flower and horse stamps are from TAC and may be available from Red Rubber Designs at some point in time - Happy Trails and I love Easter. The sentiment and cardstock are from A Muse Studio.
A bunny card was the first request. The base is lime cardstock with blueberry and buttercup petite polka dot, sugar and heartbreaker cardstock accents. Tombow markers provided the color. :)
Here's the inside. I love the happy flowers stamped along the side for a border, don't you?
A horse card was needed for a little boy. I used French Roast ink on kraft for the stamping and added some orange gingham and cocoa for accents.
Here's the inside with the same Hand-Scripted sentiment from A Muse Studio. What do you think?

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderfully creative day!

Modified Gate Birthday Card

Hello! So good to see you here on my blog today! Thanks for popping in! Recently, I saw the cutest card design - a modified gate fold - on Karen Crisp's blog. I was inspired by how she put her card together so I made my own version for my March card class. Karen has directions on her blog so click the link above to find out how to make your own version.

I used the petite polka dot cardstock in blueberry, french roast and orange. The base of the card is lime cardstock and the accent pieces are papaya. There is a little copic coloring (YR12 & 15 - frosting and flame, E55, 57 and 59 - cake and B95 and 97 for the plate and candle) on the piece of cake and some navy and papaya inks on the words. All of these stamps are in the stamp set A Very Merry Un-Birthday! It's such a great set!! All products used are from A Muse Studio: www.amusestudio.com/seleise (consultant #1379)
Isn't this a super fun design? I can see using it over and over again for many different occasions. :) I think this card is perfect to share with the Cute Card Thursday challenge blog for the Challenge 209 - Anything Goes. I missed the birthday card challenge the week before because I was just too busy to take a photo but since this is anything goes, I can keep the celebration going. Congrats CCT on your 4th b-day!!!

Have a wonderfully creative day!!!

Make a Wish

Hello!!! I'm still here!!! Sorry - I'm still doing tons of overtime so it's hard to find time to take pics and get them posted. It's crazy because I have the cards made - just need time to share them. :) Here are two cupcake cards with just a minor variation on where the banner is placed.

I love paper piecing and I feel like the cupcake from Hey Cupcake just begs for paper piecing. I did the wrapper before and this time I pieced the cupcake too. Why not have as many polka dots as possible?!! Don't you agree?

Here's the inside. I love the cupcake companion wavy happy birthday. It fits great in a banner die but it also looks great just like this.

What did I use? Bermuda, bubblegum, onyx, bermuda petite polka dots, bubblegum petite polka dots, papaya and sugar cardstocks. The onyx was run though the Grand Caliber with the medium dots texture plate and then sanded to bring out the polka dots. Isn't that groovy? A little Bermuda chevron ribbon finishes it off. You may notice that the bermuda chevron ribbon is a different shade than the cardstock. It's fine - just know that it's not matchy, matchy. The stamps were Birthday Greetings, Cupcake Companion and Hey, Cupcake and the inks were bermuda, grape and memento tuxedo black. The die was Cupcake Toppers and the last bit of sparkle was with a heart from the twinkle stickers. Oh - the candle and flame were colored with Copic markers. All of the products were A Muse Studio.

You Make My Heart Happy

You do! You really do make my heart happy. :) Here's a little grapefruit cardstock paired with some sugar, onyx and gingham (sage, buttercup and sky) cardstocks. I stamped the butterfly in grapefruit ink, the grass in grass ink and the clouds in sky ink. The grass and clouds are from Make a Scene and the butterfly is from Just Because. Love that butterfly stamp! The gingham butterflies, cut out with the butterfly trio dies, are glued only in the middle so that the wings lift off the card. It's a fresh springy card to send to anyone who makes your heart happy. :)

All products are A Muse Studio: www.amusestudio.com/seleise

And, I'm submitting my card to the Flutter By Wednesday's challenge blog. This week's challenge is to create a card for a child using a butterfly, fairy or angel. Check it out and play along.

Have a wonderfully creative day!!!

Bunny Banner

How has it been over a week since I posted? OOPS - I'm so sorry! I had a conference for work and have been working tons of extra hours. Then had some fun family things and now I'm ready to get back to stamping my art out. :) I had my class tonight so some posts will be coming your way soon.

I'll start with a Bunny Banner that was my hostess gift in February. It's sooooooo easy!!! You use the largest Bunny Die shape and cut five petite polka dot bunnies. Then, glitter up 10 mini clothespins. Do 6 in bubblegum glitter and 4 in champagne glitter. Next, take a long piece of vanilla twine, tie loops at both ends and pin your bunnies to the twine. It's just that easy!!! And, isn't it cute? I just love it!!! A great Easter banner or spring banner to hang on your desk at work or on your mantle or across the easter buffet line.

Here's a close-up of the glittery mini clothespins. glittery yumminess, don't you agree?

Baby Mini Album

I had fun putting this mini album together for an order (Thanks, Susan!). I used different A Muse Studio cardstocks in the bubblegum and cherry family for the page backgrounds. I used the smallest bunny die to create a bunny theme through-out the album and used Hand-scripted for all of the stamping except for the front cover. Then, there was just a little shimmer and glitter and bling to finish it all off.

The front cover also has some vanilla twine and bubblegum organdy polka dot ribbon layered on top of the shimmer damask cardstock. Love it's shimmery loveliness!
Sorry for the weird shadows. I took pictures quickly before hitting the road. But, it was nice outside so... :) And, ignore the glue goobers. I rubbed off some excess zip dry and guess I didn't brush it off too well before taking pics. Geesh, I was a mess, wasn't I? lol!

Aren't the bunnies cute in both the felt and the cardstock options? and the hearts too! love the variety!
I used the petite polka dot, shimmer damask and heartbreaker cardstocks with a variety of dies.

So there you go, a cute little baby girl album with room for lots of pics of that precious new baby.
