Angel Art Blog Hop: Hostess Sets: Happy Today

Sorry I fell off the blog posting wagon but it's a busy time at my day job. :) However, I found time to play in the Paperwings Angel Art Blog Hop. This one features hostess sets from the current TAC catalogs - so fun! You can get free stamps with a $100 party so it's a great way to add to your collection of stamps! (or am I the only one with a collection of stamps - lol!).

I decided to play with the Level A hostess set, Happy Today!

What a fun and sweet little set this is. I stamped the little girl and the flowers with momento tuxedo black ink on ivory cardstock. Then, I used a variety of copics from the copic caboodles and used two to three of each color family to color the images. I'm not totally enamored with how I did the grass but I'm still learning. Love those markers!

And, here's another hostess set blog post from last September. It's a holiday vintage image embossed in copper. How can you go wrong with that combo?

Be sure to visit the other ladies in the hop and check out the fabulous ways in which they used the hostess sets:

TAC Retiform Blog Hop

How about a quick spring-y card on a cloudy day? It's time for another TAC blog hop. I've missed the last two so needed to get my act in gear and get into the action this month. It's a technique blog hop and the technique is Retiform. Heather Scott posted a wonderful tutorial here and my card is but a humble nod to her artistry. I followed her technique but didn't overlap the layers of ink much (mostly because I forgot to do so - lol!). ;) I added a little shimmer with the clear gelly pen (sorry the pic doesn't show all the shimmery loveliness) and also put a little turquoise stickles in 3 sequins from the clear gem pack
Supplies used: Palette Inks - Noir, Cote D'Azure, Chartreuse, Belle Rose, Iris and Jardin Moss; Stamp set - TAC's Happily Grateful, White Ultrasmooth Cardstock, Bazzill Artesian Pool Cardstock, sponges, clear and pearl gem collection and stardust clear gelly pen

What do you think? Thanks for popping past my blog and feel free to join us on the hop!

Watercolor Plants and Aquacolor Crayons

I don't know if you've seen all the great specials for The Angel Company in the month of February but they're fabulous! Part of the fun is that every Monday - Friday, different stamp sets will be featured and if you have them, you can make a card, post it either on your blog or on the TAC Papercrafting Community, and play along in the fun. And, if you don't have that stamp set (or any of the featured ones), you can purchase it at 25% off! Isn't that awesome?!! Oh - and, you can get also get 25% off any set in any of our three catalogs that has a "heart" in it. So fun! Here's are the links to the specific details and lists of the stamp sets:

I have one of the stamp sets featured this week and I love it! Watercolor Plants is such a great set. It's perfect for aquacolor crayons so I made a gift set of notecards featuring each of the four stamps in the set on different cards:
Supplies: TAC Watercolor Plants stamp set, aquacolor crayons, mini mister, mega circle punch, giga scalloped circle punch, extra jumbo square punch, bazzill cardstock and white ultrasmooth cardstock

What do you think? I'm actually going to post twice today because I've also made a cheery thank you card for the Retiform Blog Hop so please check it out too. Feel free to play along with any and all of the hops! Thanks for hopping by...

Banner

Banners are so fun to make and the clear small banner that we carry (TAC product) is only $6.95. You might remember this post from last month where I showed a mini album that I made for my niece and the other seniors on her volleyball team. I decided to make her a matching banner for her for Christmas.

Here's a pic that I took very quickly before hitting the road. It doesn't show the banner to its best advantage but a storm was coming and I had two hours of driving before I could get to my mom's so quick was more important than "great". I used more Circle HS paper that my sis-in-law and I picked up at scrapbook stores and the tattered florals sissix die that I got for Christmas from a great friend!
Here's my gorgeous niece and I trying to take our own pic. She liked the banner, as you can see. :)

I'm about to sit down and make another banner. This one will be in pinks and purples  (TAC Maggie paper!) for a very sweet little girl. :)

Have a wonderful day and stay warm - it's a balmy 11 degrees Fahrenheit here but with the wind chill it's -5. I'm ready for winter to be done!!

Oh - before I forget - check out The TAC Savvy Projects Blog all through February. There's a fabulous promotion going on and contests and a bunch of guest designers. Fun stuff!!!

Happy Creating!
