Post Blog Hop but still having Halloweenie Fun!

I just adore these two halloween sets - Spiders Are Seen and Delightfully Spooky and they're about as different as night and day. :) One is just riding the CUTE train and the other is a little more cobwebby and wonderful!

This little witch is one of my favorite images from the Delightfully Spooky set. Isn't she adorable all copic (caboodle D) colored up? I still need to work on my skin tones but I think I'm getting a little better at shading. :)
What do you think of the strips of green behind the image? These are left over pieces from the test tube holders in my previous blog. Great way to use up pieces and parts. More are in the card below.

And, don't you love how the Caboodle D cardstocks are bright and wonderfully coordinated and so fabulously halloweenie?!! I love it!

Can't wait to color up some more images from these sets! Happy Stamping!

Blog Hop: Angel Art - Fall and Halloween

Welcome to the Paperwings Angel Art Blog Hop for August. This month we're focusing on Halloween and Fall! How fun!!! TAC has some awesome stamp sets for both the holiday and the season so be sure to check them out (several are on sale too!!!)!

We'll start with a couple of projects I made with my class this month. First we made this darling test tube holder. I modified the original design for the smaller test tubes (4") that we now carry. It's made with the Caboodle D cardstock, Copic Caboodle D markers and the fabulous "Spiders are Seen" TAC stamp set (that comes with a free Rockin Roxie matchbook kit if ordered before the end of the month!).
Here's what it looks like from the side - I used the 1" circle from the hole punched out of the top and cut it in half to create a design detail on each side.
We used skittles but there are a variety of items that you could use to fill these cute little test tubes - candy coated sunflower seeds, bath beads or bath salts, buttons, dew drops, mini m&ms, bird seed - you get the idea... I'll be making them with bath beads for upcoming craft fairs!
A smartie candy folder is a great way to promote your business, give class treats or birthday party favors and you can get 4 out of one sheet of paper (again, I modified the original design just slightly to do that). And, it's a super fast project! It's made with Copic Caboodle D Cardstock, the Stamp of the Month "Delightfully Spooky" and the Spectrum Kaleidacolor Ink pad. And, the green piece on the front is from a part that we cut off from the test tube holder so great way to use all your pieces and parts. We stamped the little "dinosaur" first and then punched him out with the 1 1/2" punch and layered it with the coordinating super jumbo scalloped punch. A little green scrapper's floss finished it off. Oh - one tip - be sure not to cover your fold with the image or your little folder won't open.

And, here's the inside - you want to use the darker ink colors on your kaleidacolor pad for this part so it will show up on the paper. :)

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I hope you'll continue hopping to the sites below to enjoy more Paperwings Angel Art - Fall and Halloween creativity!

thinking of you

how darling is this little girl from "Oh No She Didn't?" I think she's a great image to use to tell someone that you're thinking of them.
This little cutie is colored with Copic Caboodle A (which is currently sold out and unavailable on the TAC site but as soon as it's back in stock, it'll be brought back to the online site) and the hair was done with prismacolor pencils and goo gone as I didn't have hair colors in copics at the time. :) But, I think it's a good reminder to me to mix mediums and enjoy all the coloring mediums available even though I'm loving my copics. :)

I've been super busy doing conference planning but hope to get caught up on my blurfing soon!

Happy Stamping!

cute, cute kitty!

Cute kitties!!! Mabelle Ro's new sets in the TAC catalog are SUPER cute and SUPER fun to color! Fibi and Lilly are the two kitties who are sharing their adventures with us.

I just have one of the Fibi and Lilly sets so far but more are in my future!!! I just adore this one colored with Copic Caboodle Set B and look at how perfectly the Caboodles cardstock Set B coordinates with the copic colors. Genius idea to have matching and coordinating without being completely matchy, matchy. I love it!

I'm a newbie at Copic coloring so am still working on my blending skills. What do you think?

Veronica's Guest Book

A wedding is an extra special time in your life so how about making your own guest book? It doesn't take long and can coordinate with your wedding colors! Something to think about... I was asked by my friend, Veronica, to help her with her guest book. She's doing a destination wedding and wanted to have some special touches that were unique to her wedding.
We picked out her paper and found a Christmas ornament at HL that coordinated perfectly (Would you have guessed that the heart embellishment is a Christmas ornament?!!! Isn't it fabulous?!! I know, right? :) )
The interior pages have space for each guest to sign their names and write a note to the bride and groom. A personal touch that is perfect for a smaller wedding. And, what a wonderful momento to have to remember the special thoughts from friends and family on her special day! (The pages line up - I just didn't think about that when I took the pic.oops - lol!)
We kept it simple with the book ring binding so that pages can be added or re-arranged. Photo pages can be also added if she chooses so that it can become her wedding scrapbook as well. And, don't you love the row of pearls next to the sparkle? And, it's a great way to "hide" the seam where the papers meet.

We also worked together on her unity candle using ribbons and scrapbook embellishments of pearls and pink rhinestones. We forgot to take a picture but they were beautiful!

Best wishes to Veronica and Vladimir as they start their new life together!

A Hug through a Card

How about a hug through a card?! What could be better? There are so many special people in our lives so why not let them know once in a while how special they are! You've seen this card before in my sneak peek blog hop but without any of the details on these fabulous stamp sets (see below) so I wanted to share it again.
The Oh No She Didn't, TAC Stamp Set is sooo cute! and the images are so fun to color! This is with prismacolors and goo gone. I just love it! The sentiment is from the Level C hostess set Thinking Sweet Thoughts. Pull out your circles and scalloped circle nesties and cut out your image, post it on a card with a simple background design using Background Soup on DCVW white core cardstock that's been sanded a little and voilĂ  - a super sweet card for your cherished friend.

Happy Stamping!
