Some Bunny Get Well Card

OK - I love, love, love this card! I just had to share it right away because it just made me happy. :) Heather did a card last month that inspired me to make this one. She's so clever.

So, how do you make this card? Take a sheet of DCVW scalloped paper (36 sheets in different colors in a pack for only $10.95!!) and fold it in half. Stamp flowers with Versamark and then sand them. This only works on white core cardstock like DCVW. You're left with a super background. I used a flower from TAC's Treasure It stamp set for this part. I love that set! Then take a strip of black, cut the top and bottom with Deckle Scissors and after it's glued down, trim the edge to match the scallop.

Then, stamp, color and cut out your bunny from TAC's Some Bunny stamp set. Layer the image on black and pop it up with pop dots. Add scrappers floss and paper posies to finish it off. Cheery, fun and fresh! How could someone not feel better after getting this card? :)

Watercolor and Gerbera Daisy

In the last post I talked about the versatility of TAC Gerbera Daisy and featured it stamped in colored ink. Now, see the same stamp stamped in black but colored with prismacolor watercolor pencils and the niji water brush. I love how pretty and how different it looks from the previous version especially layered on the bazzill monochromatic purples. What do you think?

And, check out this amazing blog candy from Debbie.
Wowza! That's awesome! And, she's got beautiful cards and projects to look at too!

Sympathy Card

I use the TAC Gerbera Daisy stamp all of the time! It's great to color. It's great to leave plain. It's great in color. It's just highly versatile. And, it's a great stamp for get well and sympathy and birthday and you name it... :)

I decided to make a sympathy card with it the other day pairing it with the TAC With Sympathy stamp set. I made a layered background piece using a piece of wadded up saran wrap. I pounced the wadded up ball on the ink pad and then pounced it on the glossy cardstock. I love how it turned out. You can create multi-colored backgrounds this way too but just remember to change your saran wrap between colors. There are many great options with this technique.
Happy Stamping! (P.S. do you love that I used my typewriter keys for a card easel? What a hoot! I didn't have a surface to use for the pic that had enough light at the time I was shooting it. LOL!)

Happy Easter!!!

Happy Easter!!! Here's another Easter card with a fun little shimmery egg that sets off a super cute bunny image from the TAC stamp set "I Love Easter"!The Essential Glue Pad is the perfect tool for making perfectly defined shimmery images. Just use the glue pad as the "ink" pad for your stamp. Then, "stamp" the image on the cardstock, sprinkle a little prisma glitter on it, tap off the excess glitter and voilĂ ! Quick, easy and no fuss! And, it comes with it's own "re-inker" of glue. It's a fabulous product!

Other supplies used: Prismacolor Pencils, kraft cardstock, bubblegum paper posies, TAC Stamp Set "Mini Occasions", white ultrasmooth cardstock, brown cardstock, green #1 DCVW, giga scalloped square, mega square punch

Altered Item and apologies! :)

I should never have signed up on Facebook. :) Actually, I'm really enjoying it but my goodness - where does the time go? hee hee! I'm addicted to Scramble which is a word game like Boggle. My sister, Mom and I play lots of word games and when Grammie was alive, she and I played Scrabble from when I was a very young girl to when she passed away during my high school years. Good memories.

So, that's my excuse along with a very busy life at the moment for not getting something posted sooner or getting blogs commented on. I'll do better, I promise. :)

I found this frame for $1 at Hobby Lobby. It had a bit of a chunk out of the corner but I liked the shape so I bought it and covered it with Uptown Girl paper. Lots of shine and flowers and the TAC Just Dream stamp set brought it to life. I can't believe I forgot to take a "before" pic so you could see the startling difference. Ah well, it's all good. :) I took it to Winter Round-up for my prop swap gift. It was so much fun to make! I bought a bunch of other bargain items to alter too so can't wait to dig back in and make more pretty stuff out of some banged up bargains. :)
