Flowers, flowers everywhere

As you can see, I keep changing my blog's template. I don't know what I want to do with it so will eventually decide on a design (maybe!). :) Like my last post, I continue to meet myself coming and going and am having a hard time fitting everything into my schedule. However, I'm loving the busy moments as it means lots of fun times with friends, family and coworkers. So, when am I stamping? Pretty much after 10 p.m. or later. Here are a couple of my latest creations. I guess I've been in a flowery mood. :)

Here's one of my favorite new card designs. I put it together as a Happy Mother's Day card for a funshop and then realized how good it would look as a Happy Birthday or a Get Well Soon or With Heartfelt Sympathy. It's soft and pretty.
TAC Stamps: Ordinary Greetings, Gerbera Daisy
TAC ink: waterlily green palette, pink toile palette
embellishments: Mega scalloped punch, cream ribbon, oval coluzzle, scor-pal, pop dots, ribbon

The second is using one of the scented embossing powders that I purchased. I used the vanilla and the card smells soooooo good!
TAC stamps: inbloom, script background
TAC paper: scarlet, ivory and black cardstocks
TAC inks: palette black, versamark

The last is a springy card colored with prismacolor pencils and OMS. Little flowers everywhere.
TAC stamps: inbloom, just because
TAC paper: yellow DCWV paper, white ultrasmooth
TAC inks: noir palette
embellishments: prismacolor pencils, OMS, blending stump, ribbon

April Card Class

Tonight was my April Card Class and we had so much fun. We made 4 cards and started with the most difficult one - a waterfall card. The irony is that it's really not that hard! :) I had seen the card design on-line but hadn't ever tried it because I just couldn't wrap my mind around the directions. However, Sandy Herrs brought one as a swap card in March to Wing Workout and it was SOOOOO cute! She showed us how to do it and I didn't have time to try it until Sunday. So, I made one and immediately added it to my class card selections for Monday. Here are pics of it closed and partially opened so you can see it in action. Goodness of God is the stamp set and the colors were Claret, Iris, Cote d'azure and Jardin Moss (all palette colors). The TAC brown cardstock, stardust cardstock and matchmaker blue and tan finished it off. I love the blue/brown craze that's hot right now.

We started with the waterfall as I knew it would take the most time. It actually doesn't take as much time after you've done it once but the first time takes a little patience to figure out the steps. But, then, we did these three super quick and super cute cards. The ladies all seemed to really enjoy them. One is a variation of a card in my last post. I really like the simplicity and the wow factor of each of these. And, they use some of my favorite stamp sets: Distressed Seasonal (a hostess set), Just Because, Hello Baby and Chicken Scratch. So, now it's time to get back to getting cards made and thinking about upcoming FUNshops and classes. fun, fun!

Whew! What a week!!

Wow - it's been quite a week - working (lots of extra hours at my full-time job as well as part-time web work), playing (baby shower, surprise b-day party, family time, friend time, stamping night out, movies - and that's just since Thursday!) and going to the dentist. whew!! It's been hard to find time to stamp and there's been no time to update my blog - yikes! But, in the midst of all this craziness, I got a fabulous package from my SBS4 secret sister, Diana, who is also a TAC angel. :) Here are the goodies I got from her. She did a great job as you can see and I can't wait to meet her this summer at seminar! And, the package couldn't have arrived at a better time because I had just gotten home from a dental appointment and what a day brightener this package was! Thanks, Diana!

And, if that wasn't enough, I won blog candy on Chris' blog for St. Paddy's day and my "green" package got here this week-end too. So many creative green items. Thanks, Chris! Wow, I've got to find time to stamp with both of my fabulous packages!

Ok - so I did find a bit of time to stamp because I needed a card for the baby shower. So here's a baby card that I came up with. It just makes me smile - I love it! It features TAC's hello baby stamp set that's only $5.95!!!

And, here's a friend card based on Heather's sketch from last week that was put in a pack of cards that I sold to another friend. This uses one of the hostess sets that I won at winter retreat - woo hoo - and ordinary greetings which is such a handy stamp set to have!!! I love this set!!! I plan to spend this week-end making a bunch of cards that have been ordered and then, I'll work on the baby gift that I didn't get finished before the shower (oops!). :)

Check back often because I'm almost to my 50th post and I'm planning some blog candy to celebrate. :)

Oh - I haven't even mentioned the limited edition stamp sets that just came out! They're an approximately 50% version of some of TAC's most popular stamps. And, they're only $2.95 each with a $30 order!!! How fabulous is that?!!! You can buy 1 or buy them all. If you're interested, let me know and I'll tell you about some other fabulous specials that are going on.

Happy Stamping!
