My first FunShop and a gift in a card

I had my first FunShop this week and it was so much fun! Big thanks to my friend, Lori, for hostessing the event. We made the scarecrow card from my last blog and we also made this cute paper pieced tea bag (or ghiradelli chocolate) pocket card. I've got pics of the outside and the inside for you. So cute and so simple! I found the pattern on SCS and it's so easy! You just cut a 9 3/4 inch X 3 1/4 inch paper. Score at 3 1/4 and 6 1/2 and cut half of the last square off diagonally to make the pocket. Decorate as desired. I did paper piecing and used the half-cracked set (only $5.95) with the uptown girl paper (only $6.95 for 36 8X8 sheets!) both from TAC. I also used the black ($5.95) and white ($4.95) cardstock. Great heavyweight cardstock! Fun, fun! Hope you get a chance to try it too!

Cooler weather leads to Fall Cards

Ah, the weather has turned a little cooler and I've been influenced to make some Fall cards. I love the TAC brown cardstock as it's so rich and so thick and makes a very impressive card base. And, the Halloween set Boo Bash is so wonderfully versatile with the halloween images as well as the pumpkin and scarecrow which are delightful fall images. Versamark stamped images from the Circle Sampler, Matchmaker papers and Chalk pencils finished off the card.

I've also been playing with the different techniques that I've been learning. Good times! :)

Wow - What a Wall Collage!

OK - Let me start by saying that Heather has the most awesome projects. I just got home from her class (which was tons more fun because my friend, Deb, also took the class and my angel "mom" was there and a several other good friends and other new friends but I digress...) where we made this groovy wall collage with coasters and TAC papers/hardware and ribbons. (I picked Hemingway - isn't the paper grand!! And others used Amelia, Mulberry Meadow, Winchester, etc. - all so wonderful!!) I am nowhere near done with the project and I also don't know which pictures I'm going to put on it but you'll have to check back and someday I'll have a picture with the finished project. :)

Love the Coluzzle

The Coluzzle is an awesome tool! I love it! My angel "grandma", Heather, taught me how easy and how fun it is to use this cutting system. It's great! And, she inspired me with a card she made for a swap so I used her idea and made some cards of my own for birthdays and such. These cards are so easy and have so many possibilities for types of images to use. It's really got my brain spinning with all the options. I apologize for the lousy pics of some of the cards. It was late and I was tired but I really wanted to get pics so I could put together this post. :) My friend, Kara S., was the first to introduce me to the coluzzle but I guess I just needed time to absorb the greatness of this item.

Funny thing, I see that Heather has posted about the coluzzle today too. Groovy!

Best wishes for a happy week-end of stamping and scrapbooking and football fun! (and, volleyball too!) Go Cats!
